Sunday Randomness in Malaysia
Today, I got up at 8:00 and went over to a friend’s house to watch the LSU/Alabama game on tv. We don’t get any of the games on real tv, but there are creative ways that you can watch the games, dependent on someone in the states watching them online at the same time (hence the morning game time.) It had been about a year since I had seen any American tv, so I was super excited about it.
Laugh if you want, but the first thing I thought about when I started to get ready to go was my game day outfit. (If you are a girl from the south, you know exactly what I am talking about.) It threw my friend Andrea for a loop when she saw me in my game day skirt and tank top, when my usual attire is closer to pajamas. I like to mix it up a little.
We had a great time watching the game, but what I think I liked even more was the commercials. It was so nice to see Chic-Fil-A, Suntrust, and Ford advertisements between the game! Malaysian tv doesn’t really have commercials for products, but rather for other shows on that channel, that are played over and over and OVER again. Funny the things you miss!
After the game, walking home, we found this gem:
Yup, that’s a tree growing from a barricade. Andrea is just doing her part and watering it.
Then just for fun, I have this photo I just took of our sleeping cat, Maggie “Big Girl” McNair. Sorry for the bad lighting.
All that randomness in one day, and I don’t have to go to work tomorrow because of yet another Malaysian holiday. Have a great Sunday!
