The Always Evolving and Partially Unwritten Five-Year Plan

Malaysian Open

For everyone that was on the edge of their seats, thinking, I wonder what Jenny McNair did this weekend in KL?

It is your lucky day! Here is a little recap:

On Saturday was the MKIS Road Rally, which is basically teams from school that get together, dress up and run around Mont Kiara on a scavenger hunt for adults. The theme this year was Oscars or movies or something like that (in all honesty, I didn’t read the email very carefully) and our team was Forrest Gump. I was, of course, wait for it….. wait for it….Jenny. I had a fun team and we did a great job of acting like idiots, and when it comes down to it, isn’t that what the weekend is all about?

On Sunday, we went to the finals of the Malaysian Open, which was only about ten minutes away. We went last year, but it was rained out, so we were hoping for better luck this year. We were watching on the center court (which ironically was not at the center, but rather on the far right, hmmm) and got to see two really good matches. The good news was that it didn’t rain, but I don’t know if I can explain how hot it was. I looked up the temperature and it was a cool 97 degrees, but weatherbug said it felt like 111 degrees! By the time the singles match started, it was practically sweater weather at 84 degrees, which was much more manageable for everyone involved.

BMW Malaysian Open. It was HOT!

I know most people in the US are ready for some nice spring weather, but I can hardly wait until I can unpack those jeans and coats from our storage unit in October. Brrrr! I’m ready to NOT be sweating constantly! What did you do this weekend? Any fun times to be had where you are? Maybe something with more of a wintery feel to it?
